How can I contact Donna?

We'd love to hear from you! Whether you're just starting your Cavapoo research or you're ready to welcome a LoveBug into your home, Donna is always happy to talk — no pressure, no sales pitch, just real conversation. The best way to reach her is through the contact form on the Contact page; she responds personally to every message, typically within 24 hours (often much sooner). You can also follow along on Facebook at facebook.com/CavapooLoveBugs for updates, photos, and behind-the-scenes moments. Cavapoo LoveBugs is based in Ridgeville / Summerville, South Carolina, and serves families across the U.S.

When can Cavapoo puppies go to their new homes?

All LoveBugs go home at 8 weeks old. By that time, they will have received age-appropriate vaccines and deworming.

What is a Cavapoo?

A Cavapoo is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. They are known for their gentle, affectionate nature, intuitive personalities, and incredible adaptability. Most Cavapoos mature between 9–25 lbs, making them perfect for families, apartments, retirees, and everyone in between.

What generation do you breed?

We currently raise F1 Cavapoos — the first generation between a purebred Cavalier and a purebred Poodle. F1 Cavapoos are known for their balanced temperament, soft wavy coats, and wonderful family-friendly personalities. We also raise F1b Cavapoos.

Are Cavapoos hypoallergenic?

No dog is 100% hypoallergenic, but Cavapoos are considered low-shedding and are often well-tolerated by families with mild allergies. If you have severe allergies, I always recommend spending time with the breed first.

Can we meet the parents?

Absolutely. Simba and Bella live in my home as cherished family members. I love when families meet them — it gives you a true sense of the temperament and sweetness your puppy will inherit.

How do I reserve a puppy?

A $350 non-refundable deposit secures your place on the waitlist. Deposits are applied toward the purchase price and hold your position in the order received. When a litter is ready, families are contacted in waitlist order and given 8 hours to choose or pass.

What health testing do you do?

All parent dogs are genetically tested through Embark for 250+ inherited conditions. We do not perform cardiac or MRI testing — our program focuses on genetic screening, temperament, and raising puppies in a stable, loving home environment.

What does my puppy come with?

Every LoveBug goes home with: age-appropriate vaccines, multiple dewormings, a complete health record, a puppy starter kit, food they've been eating, 30 days of complimentary Trupanion insurance, and lifetime support from me. Your Cavapoo puppy will also come with individual puppy Embark genetic testing results.

What food do you recommend?

We raise our puppies on Rachael Ray Signature Chicken & Brown Rice. We strongly recommend keeping your puppy on this food for the first 12 months to support healthy growth and digestion.

Do Cavapoos do well with children and other pets?

Yes — Cavapoos are one of the most adaptable companion breeds. They love children, other dogs, cats, and even grandparents. Because they're raised underfoot in my home, they leave here confident, social, and ready for family life.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes — we can arrange a flight nanny for families who cannot pick up in person. All travel costs are the buyer's responsibility, and we coordinate everything to ensure a safe, comfortable trip.

What is your boarding fee policy?

If you cannot pick up your puppy within 7–10 days after they turn 8 weeks old, a $45/day boarding fee applies.

What is your First Right of Recovery policy?

If you ever need to rehome your puppy, please contact me first. A LoveBug may never be surrendered to a shelter, sold to a pet store, or placed with a broker. I will always help ensure they land safely.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Cash, Venmo, and Zelle. Deposits may be made via Venmo or Zelle. Full balance is due before your puppy goes home.

What forms do I need to complete?

We require a Puppy Application, a Deposit Agreement, and a Purchase Agreement. All forms are available on our website.

Can we visit the puppies?

Yes! Once puppies are 3–4 weeks old, waitlist families are welcome to schedule a visit to meet the puppies and their parents.
